Description Reindeer Condensed Milk; Trademark, Truro Condensed Milk Co., Factories at Truro N.S. (Nova Scotia ) and Mission City, B.C.

Provenance Want to leave Santa some milk with his cookies? According to the directions on this can, "one part of Condensed Milk and four parts of water make rich milk." We also think he'd appreciate that it's "reindeer brand"!
This product was manufactured by the Truro Condensed Milk Company which had factories in Truro, Nova Scotia and Mission, British Columbia. The plant in Mission was located in what is now The Olde Stove Works' building.
Anthony Taulbut persuaded a friend to give him this tin (which had been made into a string holder) for his collection of local history items - later donated to the Mission Museum.
