Description Peace pipe.
a- Bowl and stem made of wood. Bowl has two silver crests which read "1929 Village of Mission, Commissioners" and "1962 Town of Mission City Mayor & Aldermen"

Provenance This pipe was carved by Anthony Taulbut after a dispute at a Village of Mission council meeting in 1929. He presented the council with this peace pipe for the sake of peace among them. Smoking the pipe became a tradition at every council meeting until it was retired (in 1962?).
