Provenance |
Tage (Ted) Knudsen Jacobsen was born in 1929 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was a cabinet maker, briefly a military man, and a traveller, prior to moving to Canada on a whim in 1953. Once in Canada, Ted worked many jobs and managed several of his own enterprises. He moved to Mission in 1964, and bought a 10 acre property across from the golf course on Nelson road. One of the many jobs he did was making and selling children's toys, such as these wooden building blocks. Despite his lasting love for Denmark, Ted also cultivated a deep love for Canada, and for Mission. |
